Clinical psychology is based on the integration of three elements – science, theory and clinical knowledge. Its’ purpose is to understand, prevent and relieve psychological based distress or dysfunction and to promote well-being and personal development. It deals with a wide range of mental and physical health issues – including addiction, anxiety, depression, learning difficulties and relationship issues.
In your initial visit with one of our Clinical Psychologists, the purpose of the session will be to identify problems in your life – whether they be emotional, mental or behavioural. Through observation, interviews and tests, the Psychologist will diagnose any existing or potential disorders and put together a programme to aid recovery.
